Ex-Manchester United star Antonio Valencia retires

After a sensational career at both the club and international level, former Manchester United right back Antonio Valencia has announced it's time to hang up his cleats. Ironically enough, Valencia played his last game for United two years ago to this day.
Fast forward to 2021 and Valencia, due to injuries, said he's no longer fit enough to keep playing the game he loves. He announced his retirement with a goodbye to United fans.

Valencia spent 10 years with United, highlighted by winning multiple Premier League titles and a Europa League. He closed out his career as the club's captain. He also played in two World Cups for Ecuador.
