Emoni Bates announces he's transferring to Eastern Michigan

In a move that has surely come as a bit of a surprise, former Memphis stud Emoni Bates has found a new home. It's just not a place that many out there expected him to land at. That's because he's going to Eastern Michigan.

When news first dropped that Bates was going to be transferring, just about everyone out there assumed he'd land with a powerhouse. No disrespect to EMU, but they most definitely aren't a blueblood.

Regardless of that, Bates is excited for the future of the team and he'll look to make a big impact for them starting this season.
