Group C play of the Copa America tournament will finish up Monday afternoon with an elimination matchup between Ecuador and Japan. The two will compete for third place in their group along with a spot in the Copa America quarterfinals round. A tie will eliminate both teams from the remainder of the tournament.

Ecuador and Japan will kick off at 7 p.m. ET from Estadio Mineirão in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. U.S. viewers can watch the game on ESPN+ or Telemundo, with additional streams on FuboTV and Reddit's Soccer Streams subreddit.

Ecuador is still in search of its first win at this year's Copa America. After dropping a brutal 4-0 loss to Uruguay to open the tournament, they lost a hard-fought matchup against the dominant Chile.

Under the direction of manager Hernán Darío Gómez, Ecuador will also be without central defender and captain Gabriel Achilier, who was sent off with a red card against Chile.

As the only team in Group C without a point, Ecuador will put everything on the line against Japan in hopes of salvaging their tournament run and earning them a spot in the quarterfinals.

Japan, one of just two non-South American teams in the tournament, has faired slightly better than Ecuador. After a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Chile, Japan drew even with group-favorite Uruguay earning them their first and only point of the tournament.

Looking for their first trip to the knockout stage of the Copa America, Japan will likely stick with the same lineup.

If the game does result in a tie, Paraguay will be awarded the quarterfinal spot. Otherwise, Japan or Ecuador will face off against the hosts Brazil in a quarterfinal matchup on Thursday.
