Baltimore Ravens safety Earl Thomas' late-night activity almost cost him dearly, as the seven-time Pro Bowler was held at gunpoint by his wife Nina after she discovered he was having an extramarital affair.

Per TMZ, Thomas wrestled the gun away from his wife, preventing her from injuring anyone. When police arrived, Thomas was running from his wife, who was brandishing a knife at that point. Nina was arrested for burglary with intent to commit aggravated assault for her actions.

While Nina claims that she and two other woman took Thomas' handgun in an attempt to "scare him", as the magazine was not in the gun, there was one round left in the chamber.

Thomas and his brother Seth were both found in bed with the woman in question at a rented Airbnb. Nina tracked Thomas' location via his Snapchat account.

Thomas, a seven-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro who made his name with the "Legion of Boom" Seattle Seahawks, responded to the breaking news on Instagram, adding that he will go on TMZ soon to present his side of the story and declaring that "stuff like this happens."

Thomas shouldn't have been cheating on his wife, and Nina shouldn't have brandished a gun in an attempt to get retribution. In the end, no one looks good in one of the oddest stories of 2020.
