Eagles TE Richard Rodgers Considered Week-to-Week With Foot Injury After Practice Scare
By Michael Luciano

Right before their dress rehearsal preseason game, the Philadelphia Eagles saw one of their backup tight ends go down with a nasty foot injury. Luckily for Doug Pederson and company, his injury isn't as serious as it first appeared.
That doesn't mean that Rodgers came away with a totally clean bill of health, either. The former Green Bay Packers tight end will miss multiple weeks of action while he heals from his foot injury.

Rodgers was going to head into 2019 as the third-string tight end behind record-setting starter Zach Ertz and promising second-year player Dallas Goedert. He recorded just one catch for seven yards as an Eagle in 2019.
Rodgers did record 1,166 yards and 13 touchdowns as a Green Bay Packer. He is perhaps most well known for being on the receiving end of a trademark Aaron Rodgers Hail Mary that won them a game against the Detroit Lions.

Pederson's offense can never have enough tight ends, so losing a player like Rodgers could be felt, especially in goal-line situations where his skill as a blocker could really shine.
