Eagles Star WR Alshon Jeffery Could Miss Next 2 Games Due to Calf Strain
By Karl Rasmussen

Alshon Jeffery exited Sunday night's game against the Falcons in the second quarter and would not return due to a calf injury.
After undergoing tests, Jeffery has been diagnosed with a calf strain, which is expected to sideline him for the near future. Unfortunately, that could result him in missing two games for the Eagles, with the team's next two contests in a span of 10 days.
#Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery is dealing with a calf strain, source said, following Sunday night football. It’s not major, but with two games in 10 days, the timing is bad. His status for those is in some doubt.

While he's not officially ruled out, it's certainly an unfortunate time for Jeffery to have to deal with such an injury. The Eagles have been waiting a while to watch their offense in full force, which has been an issue given the incessant injuries they've been dealing with the last couple of years.
Update on Alshon Jeffery. Lions game seems very much up in the air. https://t.co/su1MzIhX2I

The Eagles face the Detroit Lions on Sept. 22 and have a quick turnaround to their Thursday night game against the Green Bay Packers on Sept. 26.
Jeffery wasn't the only Eagle to pick up a knock on Sunday, as Tim Jernigan suffered a broken foot, which will sideline him for 4-6 weeks.
