Eagles Rule OL Lane Johnson Out for Crucial Matchup With Cowboys
By Karl Rasmussen

The Cowboys and Eagles will be battling for NFC East supremacy -- as well as to get back above .500 on the season -- on Sunday, in what is the most pivotal matchup of the year for the division rivals.
The Eagles are already dealing with a handful of injuries to various parts of their team, and the news didn't get better when it was revealed that star offensive lineman Lane Johnson would be unable to suit up due to his ankle injury.,

Johnson sat out last week's clash with the Redskins due to the injury, and played in just 32% of the team's offensive snaps in Week 14's matchup with the Giants.
The 29-year-old didn't miss a single snap from Week 1 up until Week 11, and now finds himself out of commission for the second straight game.
Just because Lane Johnson once played on high ankle sprain just 14 days after doesn’t mean it’s likely again. Expectation here is that it’s doubtful - like less 10 pct. doubtful - which means Big V will earn his 2d straight start at RT. Historically, better with prep. #Eagles

Johnson has been a Pro Bowl right tackle for the past two seasons and earned All-Pro honors in 2017. With him sidelined once more, further pressure will be placed on Carson Wentz and the rest of the Eagles' offense.
