Eagles RB Jordan Howard Ruled Out Sunday With Shoulder Injury

The Philadelphia Eagles will be without a key member of their backfield once again on Sunday.

According to Ian Rapoport, Eagles starting running back Jordan Howard won't be available for their game against the Dolphins due to a shoulder injury.

Howard hasn't played since Week 9, which led to the Eagles signing Jay Ajayi to the roster for some additional depth.

The shoulder injury has been plaguing Howard for much of the month, and it looks like he's still not quite healthy enough to suit up.

Fortunately for the Eagles, guys like Alshon Jeffery and Lane Johnson are expected to be back on the field, so the offense won't be completely depleted.

Miles Sanders has served as the team's lead back in Howard's stead, but has failed to find the end zones in each of the past two games. Hopefully he can turn things around in Week 13 with Howard's absence expected to extend.

Even without Howard, the Eagles have enough talent to handle a lowly Dolphins team, so anything less than a convincing victory would be a disappointment.
