3 Late-Round WRs Eagles Should Draft in 2020

The Philadelphia Eagles ended the 2019 season with quarterback Josh McCown as an emergency wide receiver. That was due to several key injuries, but it did show a lack of depth at the position. Now the Eagles need to target a wide receiver or two in the NFL Draft to add that much-needed depth. Several late-round targets stand out as suitable options.

3. Jauan Jennings

Jauan Jennings is a 6-3 wide receiver out of Tennessee who had 969 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in 2019. The only major knock against him is that he was kicked off the team in 2017. That came for cursing out members of the coaching staff back when the program was a total disaster. However, that is pushing down his stock and he could be a huge steal for the Eagles.

2. Dezmon Patmon

Dezmon Patmon thrived in the pass-happy offense at Washington State. He stands 6-4 and hauled in eight touchdowns in 2019. A concern with someone of his stature is whether he can gain the proper separation from defenders at the NFL level. The flip side of that is he may not need as much separation given his size. He is worth taking a chance on given his success with such a successful offensive program.

1. Austin Mack

Austin Mack was never the go-to guy at Ohio State. He still did average around 340 yards per season from 2017-2019 and projects to be a larger slot receiver at the NFL level. Mack has still not shown off his full potential and he would be a low-risk pick in the sixth or seventh round. His ability to play outside or in the slot should increase his value for the Eagles.
