The last we saw of Eagles star defensive lineman Fletcher Cox, he was hobbling on the field, playing through a foot injury against the Saints in the playoffs.

After missing all of the offseason workouts following surgery, Eagles fans everywhere are hoping he'll be good to go for training camp, which starts in late July. Will he be taking the field during camp?

According to the big man himself, that's the plan.

During an interview Cox had with Mississippi's WAPT, the 6-4, 310-pounder said he thinks he'll be all set to join his teammates for Day 1 of camp.

“Everything is going good," Cox said via NJ.com. "I’m happy about that. Just taking it day-by-day. The goal is to be ready for training camp. Just taking it day-by-day. Doctors got a schedule and I’m following what they’re doing. Everything is going good so far."

Cox is coming off a monster year, during which he recorded 10.5 sacks and 46 tackles to power Philly's defense. More big things are expected of the massive DL this upcoming fall. And if he can stay healthy, opposing offensive linemen better watch out for him in the trenches.
