Eagles Fans Cannot Be Happy With Team's Terrible First-Half Performance Against Redskins
By Michael Luciano

The Philadelphia Eagles came into their Week 1 matchup against the Washington Redskins as not only massive favorites, but as Super Bowl contenders.
However, their performance in the first half has been anything but championship caliber, as they find themselves down 20-7 after two quarters behind Case Keenum's 267 yards passing and two touchdowns.

Keep in mind, Jay Gruden wasn't even ready to name Keenum, the definition of a bridge quarterback, his starter until a few weeks ago, and now he's carving up Philly's secondary in a way not unlike a Top-5 college football team against an FCS creampuff.
While the defense has been awful, the offense looks totally scattered. Jordan Howard only has two carries for 12 yards and Darren Sproles is leading the team in carries, while Carson Wentz and his No. 1 target Zach Ertz don't look in sync at all.
What is wrong with Doug Pederson? He's forcing the ball to Sproles, who isn't a weapon anymore. Why? Not a good day for the players or coaches so far.

It's only Week 1, and the Eagles will likely get better from here, but this kind of performance against an inferior team in the division is certainly setting a bad tone for what could be a sluggish start to the season unless major changes are made from a schematic point of view.
