To put it lightly, the Philadelphia Eagles have had a rough go of things this offseason. From keeping Rodney McLeod over Malcolm Jenkins to letting Corey Clement hit free agency, the Philly front office seems to be making all the wrong moves so far. The bad news and misfortune continued into Wednesday.

The Eagles were in pursuit of former Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. until we abruptly discovered the corner had chosen the Los Angeles Chargers.

If the Eagles move Jalen Mills to safety, the team will be without a starting cornerback, so the need for Harris was dire. Even though he's a nine-year veteran, Harris brings impeccable experience any skill to any secondary. He allowed no touchdowns in 16 starts in 2019.

And at that price?! How did Howie Roseman let this slip away?

It's been rumored that if the Eagles couldn't bring in Harris, they could try and bring in another Broncos defensive back in Will Parks on the cheap. But guess what? Harris Jr. and Jenkins didn't get deals that broke the bank, so how much money are they trying to save?

The Eagles are really going to struggle in the cornerback department in 2020 unless they make an unprecedented move via trade. Harris was a must to pickup this offseason but now he's headed to LA. Philly blew it again.
