The Philadelphia Eagles' imminent rivarly game against the Dallas Cowboys was simply too big and too important for Jalen Mills to miss.

Ahead of Sunday night's big-time clash, the team activated Mills from the NFL's resrve/physically unable to perform list on Saturday. He's expected to start in the secondary for the Eagles as they try to pull away from Big D in the NFC East standings.

Mills has been struggling with injury for the last two seasons. He missed half of the 2018 campaign primarily due to foot injuries, and the same foot problems have been plaguing him this season. He's yet to play a down for the Eagles in 2019.

And there's no denying that they could use his help. The secondary has been sub-par this year, and they got exposed in a bad way in Week 6 when Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins torched them for 333 passing yards and four touchdowns.

Adding Mills back into the mix will certainly help things run more smoothly. The former seventh-round draft pick, when healthy, is a force to be reckoned with. Back in 2017, he played 15 games for the Eagles and pulled down three interceptions and registered 14 passes defended all while logging 64 tackles.

If he can find that form again, then the Eagles will be in great shape. Having him at full strength and playing up to his potential would be work wonders for their chances not only against the Cowboys on Sunday, but for the rest of the season.
