Against all odds, the New Orleans Saints have missed nary a beat since Drew Brees injured his thumb in Week 2's defeat against the Rams. They've won five in a row with Teddy Bridgewater under center and have emerged as one of the toughest outs in the NFL. But this Sunday against the Cardinals, they'll be even more dangerous.

Per ESPN's Dianna Russini and Ed Werder, Brees is back and ready to start in Week 8.

Sorry, Cardinals.

Bridgewater has thrown nine touchdowns against just two interceptions in relief of Brees, and has show a fine rapport with No. 1 wideout Michael Thomas. But there's just no replacement for Brees, still clearly one of the most efficient, opportunistic passers in the game.

On the season, Brees is 35-48 (72.9%) for 408 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, and he'll be keen to boost those numbers in a hurry after an extended layoff. The time to steal one from the Saints has come and gone. The future Hall of Famer is back in the saddle.
