Dolphins WR Allen Hurns Makes Scary Admission About Concussion He Sustained Against Cowboys

At this point, one would think the NFL has gotten a handle on their concussion protocol considering the backlash they've received the past few years.
Well, it turns out this is far from the case, as players are still putting their futures on the line each and every week. Just ask Dolphins wide receiver Allen Hurns about this.
Reason Number 206 why NFL players deserve every single dollar they make: Dolphins WR Allen Hurns, out of protocol and set to play Sunday, said his concussion against Dallas was his fourth and he has no recollection of that Sept. 22 Cowboys game.

Hurns suffered a serious head injury in a Week 3 matchup against the Cowboys and admitted that following his concussion he doesn't even remember the game.
That's a frightening admission, no question.

The receiver was put on concussion protocol for the next two games, but was just cleared to play in the Dolphins' game against the Redskins this Sunday.
The fact that he's already making such a quick return to the field is a bit alarming. While you have to admire his passion for the game, you've also got to wonder why more time isn't being taken for him to treat his head injury.

This league still has a long way to go when it comes to player empowerment and safety.
