Reshad Jones is a two-time Pro Bowl safety who is owed north of $17 million next season, and it with the Dolphins seeming to be a long way from contention, his tenure in Miami may be over sooner than later.

It appears that the Dolphins are open to trading the 31-year-old defender, but are looking for the right package in order to part ways with the former Georgia Bulldog.

Miami will not give Jones up for just anything, as they would rather keep the safety than give him up for a sub-par offer, but if the Dolphins find a mutual partner, Jones can be wearing a different uniform at the start of next season.

Clearly the rebuilding Dolphins do not think of the aging safety as a piece in their long term plans, and with new head coach Brian Flores looking to shape his own squad, moving on from Jones would make a ton of sense.

It is unclear what the Dolphins want in return for a player that had three interceptions and 72 tackles in 2018, but he could demand a sizable package via trade.

This is certainly an intriguing scenario with all signs pointing to the Dolphins and Jones parting ways in the near future, as Miami looks to start fresh under Flores.
