Dolphins Could Set Inauspicious NFL Record Against Patriots
By Sean Facey

The Miami Dolphins are coming off of a brutal season-opening loss to the Baltimore Ravens in which they surrendered an astounding 59 points, 42 of which came in the first half alone.
Now they're facing an even bigger challenge in the New England Patriots. Tom Brady enters the game with a wide receiver core far more talented than that of the Ravens, headlined by Antonio Brown, Josh Gordon and Julian Edelman. And if the Dolphins surrender 44 points, which is a very real possibility, they'll own the dubious record of having allowed the most points in the Super Bowl era through the first two weeks.
If the Patriots score 44 today, the Dolphins will have allowed the most points by any team in their first two games of a season in the Super Bowl era.

The 1973 Saints allowed 102 in their first two.
Yeah, that wouldn't be a good look...at all.
Part of what makes it so intriguing is that it almost feels inevitable. The Patriots have far more talent on offense than the Ravens do. If Lamar Jackson was able to torch their secondary so brutally just a week ago, it's downright terrifying to think about what Brady could do.
"Today we welcome 2 men who made the Dolphins look poor. While their own team put 59 on the board, yes the @Ravens scored evermore."

There's just too much talent and experience. Josh Gordon is an absolutely electric talent who has clicked well with Brady. Edelman is a trusted veteran that always manages to pick up extra yards after the catch. And now Brady has Antonio Brown, who will apparently be fed the ball on Sunday.

RB: Michel, White, Burkhead
TE: LaCosse, Izzo
FB: Develin
It's a recipe for disaster for the Dolphins. The team's chemistry is in shambles, so is its confidence, and now they have to square off against their most hated rivals in a game that some think they'd be better off not showing up for.
Sunday afternoon will tell us if the Dolphins can manage to avoid this inauspicious honor.
