2019 NL All-Star Clayton Kershaw will make his first start of the second half tonight. Despite losing some of the velocity he once possessed, Kershaw has still pitched well going 7-2 with a 3.09 ERA across 99 innings in the first half.
Phillies Lineup
Gabe Kapler will deploy mostly the same lineup from Sunday’s walk-off win against the Washington Nationals. Bryce Harper will bat third, but has not had a lot of success against Kershaw. He is 3-for- 24 (.125) with only a home run against the three-time Cy Young winner. Sunday’s walk off hero, Maikel Franco will bat seventh and play third base.

Zach Eflin takes the ball for the Phillies with a 7-8 record with a 3.78 ERA in 100 innings. He has enjoyed pitching at home this year, putting up a 3.04 ERA at Citizens Bank Park.
The Phillies took four out of seven games against the Dodgers in 2018 and are hoping to keep that same level of success this year. The Phillies currently sit in the second Wild Card spot, but five teams are within three games or less of them.
