We have a trade! And the subject in question is going back to the division where it all began.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have traded lefty reliever Zac Rosscup to the St. Louis Cardinals for cash considerations.

Rosscup spent 2013-2017 with the Cubbies before he was traded to the Colorado Rockies and ultimately landed in LA last year, then started off this season with the Mariners. In Seattle, he enjoyed a nice start, going 2-0 with a 3.21 ERA in 19 appearances.

He went back to the Dodgers not too long ago, but has allowed three earned runs in three innings of relief.

Whatever the case, he'll give the Cardinals bullpen another left-hander with experience pitching in the NL Central, but he'll head to Triple-A Memphis first.

Don't expect this to be the last trade involving the Dodgers or Cardinals, both of whom are looking to bolster their rosters to further make a push in the playoff race.
