The Los Angeles Dodgers have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to the arms available in their rotation. They have Cy Young candidate Hyun-Jin Ryu, Walker Buehler, Clayton Kershaw, Kenta Maeda and Rich Hill, once he returns from injury.

This plethora of arms has not deterred their interest in adding another superb pitcher in Noah Syndergaard, despite his down season thus far.

Syndergaard is in the midst of an off year for his standards, but he has still posted a 7-5 record with a 4.33 ERA to go along with 126 strikeouts. He has the ability to throw fastballs past you, with a wipeout slider as well, making the man they call 'Thor' as valuable a pitcher as there is available at this year's trade deadline.

If the asking price remains as high as it has been, the Mets will likely ask for some combination of an active major league player and top prospects.

This is a steep price to pay, but if the Dodgers can work out a more favorable deal and pull off a Syndergaard trade, the rest of the MLB will be put on high alert, as LA are coming for their World Series revenge.
