Following the news today that Corey Kluber is heading down south to the Texas Rangers, the Los Angeles Dodgers are readjusting their offseason plans.

It's now being reported that the Dodgers have always been focusing on trying to acquire Francisco Lindor (and possibly Mike Clevinger) from the Cleveland Indians instead.

Apparently, the Dodgers hadn't connected on Kluber in a while, despite a plethora of public rumors. Rather, they're extremely intrigued at the sight of Lindor manning the infield for the next decade, with Clevinger perhaps replacing Hyun-Jin Ryu in the starting rotation.

If the Dodgers are somehow able to pull off a deal for both of these players, it'll signify the final nail in a huge change in direction for the Indians' franchise.

Lindor has been the heart and soul of the Tribe ever since he reached the majors in 2015. The four-time All-Star has racked up two Gold Glove and Silver Slugger awards to add to his hardware collection as well.

Clevinger often served as a solid second and third starter in the Indians rotation, finding himself slotted behind Corey Kluber. However, last year he was the team's Opening Day starter and had an amazing year, with a 2.71 ERA with a 13-4 record despite battling injury concerns.

In exchange, the Dodgers would most likely have to trade a plethora of prospects, including prized infielder Gavin Lux and pitcher Dustin May. In what would be an all-in move, the Dodgers would be trading their future for two players approaching their primes, while messing around with the positioning of Corey Seager.

After whiffing on the top three free agents in Cole, Rendon and Strasburg, this may be the Dodgers' way of making a humongous splash this offseason and would firmly place them next to the Yankees as World Series favorites.
