The Los Angeles Dodgers didn't make that World Series run a lot of people expected this season. Instead, their streak of Series appearances was cut short at two straight, and the league's premier franchise is still title-less since 1988.

Needless to say, the game's richest franchise is expected to make some big moves this winter to stay ahead of the curve, and may be looking to plunder one of the MLB's greatest bargain hunters.

According to Jon Morosi of MLB.com, the Dodgers are expected to be in on Cleveland Indians star shortstop Francisco Lindor.

The 25-year-old face of the franchise only has two more years left on his contract, and with the Indians unlikely to pay him the long term contract he's expected to get (in fact, they've told their fans to "enjoy him" while he lasts), Cleveland has to consider moving Lindor, even though he's a fan favorite and puts butts in the seats.

Lindor is one of the faces of the game and best players in the sport, so it would take a huge return to get him out of Cleveland this winter. Most teams couldn't dream of meeting their asking price, but the Dodgers certainly have the resources to make it happen.

After a few years of regression, shortstop Corey Seager no longer stands in the way of such a deal, though Seager could also be moved to third, with Justin Turner slotting in at first, and stud rookie Gavin Lux remaining at second. Yes, there's talent everywhere in Hollywood.

In 143 games last season, Lindor slashed .284/.335/.518 with 32 home runs, 72 RBI and 22 stolen bases. Power. Average. Speed. Smiles. He does it all, and could thrive on the west coast.
