Yankees second baseman DJ LeMahieu has been on an absolute tear this season. In his first campaign in New York, the former Colorado Rockies star is batting .316 with 48 RBIs and 9 home runs.

LeMahieu's stats this year are incredible, and should land him a spot on the All-Star roster. Specifically, his batting with runners in scoring position has been singularly terrific.

With the Yankees trying to maintain their position at the top of the AL East, LeMahieu has been indispensable. If there are runners on base, he is the guy you want at the plate-- no faint praise given how loaded the Bronx Bombers were with power even before he showed up in town.

42 of his 48 RBIs and 4 of his 9 home runs have all come in RISP situations. With 32 hits in 67 such at bats, he's made himself one of the top clutch hitters in the entire MLB.

At the pace he's been hitting, LeMahieu will undoubtedly finish the year as one of the league's sweetest-swinging infielders. With such unreal stats just halfway through his first year in New York, DJ is proving to be one of the best offseason signings across the league, and well worth the money.
