Dez Bryant Tweets Sincere Message to Antonio Brown About Mental Health and Player Unity

The Antonio Brown saga took a turn for the disturbing this morning, as it became clear that the superstar wide receiver is wrestling with some mental demons.

Following his surprising release from the New England Patriots, Brown went off on a Twitter tirade in which he tried to defame everyone from Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Hall of Fame tight end and FS1 personality Shannon Sharpe, and Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, all of whom have been accused of sexual offenses in the past just like Brown. Dez Bryant, another receiver who has let his personal demons interfere with his play on the field in the past, posted a message directed at Brown on Twitter Sunday in which he called for unity among athletes and better mental health treatment.

As funny as it can be to look at Brown as a clown who is nuking his own career, it seems like he has some serious issues that need addressing. Speaking perhaps from firsthand experience, Dez is extending a helping hand.

While it appears unlikely that Brown will get his football career restarted any time in the future due to all his baggage and the allegations of sexual assault against him, Bryant is still willing to take on the task of navigating him through such a trying time.

Since Brown has been lashing out at just about anyone close to him, it's an open question as to whether he's capable of taking Bryant's advice with the proper sobriety. However, Dez's compassion shouldn't be neglected.
