Dez Bryant Backs Ezekiel Elliott After Jerry Jones Called Him Out Over Cowboys Holdout

In what is quickly becoming a polarized, Hatfield and McCoy-style rivalry between Ezekiel Elliott and Jerry Jones, former Dallas wide receiver Dez Bryant is siding firmly with Zeke.

Bryant backed Elliott's desire to get as much money as he can, while coming out and saying he would have done things differently when he was still in Dallas.

Bryant signed an extension with the Cowboys in 2015 that paid him $16 million annually for three seasons. He wasn't proud of the fact that he was so quick to back down from Jones in contract negotiations.

While some may think Elliott is being shortsighted, as the Cowboys still have to pay Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper, or that he's being a bit on the belligerent side, this is a necessary step for him to finally get a contract that will pay him what the market deems is appropriate.

Bryant knows that one freak injury could end his career, so he's siding with his former teammate over management.
