DeSean Jackson Returning to Eagles Before Being 100% Healthy Was a Horrible Mistake
By Michael Luciano

DeSean Jackson was poised to have a perfect first year back home with the Philadelphia Eagles. The offense needed a deep threat and the defense was stacked with depth.
Thanks to injuries, however, his comeback season has been derailed after just nine catches in two games. In his first action since suffering an abdominal injury after Week 1 against the Redskins, Jackson tore his abdominal muscle off the bone and will require season-ending surgery.
Sources tell me DeSean Jackson will have surgery tomorrow morning

He tore the abdominal muscle completely off the bone yesterday, worse than his injury in week 2
He is expected to be out 4-6 weekshttps://t.co/fJaBjo9egJ
Jackson's second injury falls squarely on the blame of the team's medical staff.
For a receiver who bases his game entirely on speed and quick cuts, an ab injury ranks among the more devastating ailments that Jackson could have picked up. This is not an injury that you can simply tough out and still produce. This requires time and attention to heal properly.
But forget that, Doug Pederson wanted his deep threat on the field! Pushing a clearly hobbled Jackson out there has now cost Philly dearly. Jackson also wanted to power through for his teammates, but too bad there was no one to tell him about the value of being healthy in the long run.
#Eagles WR DeSean Jackson is having surgery to repair a core muscle injury tomorrow, sources say. Based on the timing, it appears unlikely he’ll play again this season.

The Eagles were too careless handling his health and Jackson will no longer be able to help them as they push for the playoffs in a weak NFC East.
