Over a week ago, the NBA lost a legend in Kobe Bryant, who passed away alongside his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and seven others in a Calabasas helicopter crash.

The tributes have poured in from all facets of the sports world, including Super Bowl LIV this Sunday. More importantly, NBA stars are honoring Bryant in a variety of ways.

On Monday, DeMar DeRozan of the San Antonio Spurs paid tribute to Kobe by wearing his jersey and Lakers purple and gold while arriving to Staples Center for the team's game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

DeRozan, like many, were shaken up on the day of Bryant's tragic death, and had to be consoled by Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich.

The Spurs forward grew up in Compton, and idolized Bryant. Kobe was the reason DeRozan pursued his NBA career. In fact, after learning of his passing, DeRozan said he wouldn't be where he is right now without Bryant's inspiration.

It's hard to say goodbye to your heroes, but DeRozan will follow Bryant's famous "Mamba Mentality" to keep his memory alive.

He already got a good start to it by wearing an old school Kobe jersey ahead of his crucial Western Conference matchup.
