DC Defenders Savage Darren Rovell on Way Out After XFL Suspends Operations

The inevitable was announced Friday afternoon when the XFL officially suspended operations with no plans to return. That immediately brought up comparisons to the failed AAF and how long both leagues lasted.
The key difference is that the AAF stopped play during its first season due to financial problems. Vince McMahon's league was forced to stop play because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet that didn't stop the notorious Darren Rovell from sending out a tweet completely lacking context.
Total Games Played:
— Darren Rovell (@darrenrovell) April 10, 2020
XFL: 20
AAF: 32
What he tweeted was indeed a fact. However, it appears he is just trying to be a troll on a day when individuals around the country lost their jobs in the XFL. Thankfully, he got what was coming to him.
The individual running the DC Defenders account came up with a great troll of Rovell on their way out.

After Rovell opted to, uh, rub the XFL's lack of success in their faces, we're glad the Defenders got in the last word.
21 XFL games played if we count this DC Defenders win

Let's be clear, this is a win.

The Defenders are right on the money when it comes to Rovell, who is a total buzzkill. Kudos to the person running the Defenders account. It is always best to go out with a legendary tweet.
