On Tuesday night Cleveland Indians right-hander Zach Plesac made his major league debut against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. Plesac would exit the game with the Indians trailing 1-0, but he was brilliant against an excellent lineup in one of the toughest places to pitch in baseball. His line ended at 5.1 innings of work, four hits, one walk, one earned run, and two strikeouts. Cleveland would go on to rally and defeat Boston 7-5 thanks to a five-run ninth inning.

When Plesac returned to the clubhouse after his debut, he was delighted to see a note sitting in his locker from none other than David Price, the opposing pitcher that night. The note read "Good luck kid, congrats on your debut."

Just an incredibly classy move by Price. It's not very often a veteran who has accomplished all that Price has would reach out to a rookie like that, especially when that rookie is your opponent that night.

Plesac obviously has a long way to go before he accomplishes the type of career that Price has, but his first outing could be a sign of good things to come.

Regardless of where Plesac ends up in his career, he will likely never forget the encouraging words he received from the former Cy Young winner.
