David Price Battles Back on Twitter to Continue 2-Year-Old Beef With Dennis Eckersley

The saying may be "forgive and forget," but David Price and Dennis Eckersley are both 0-for-2.

It's been two years since a heated verbal exchange between Price and Eckersley took place on a team flight, but Eckersley recently went down memory lane in a Boston Globe feature.

Of course, he had to address the beef that began with Price in 2017, stating that he had no intentions of sitting down and discussing it with the current Red Sox pitcher ever again. Price responded on Twitter accordingly, and couldn't help but laugh.

There's clearly a lot of animosity left between Eckersley and Price, and the latter also took some time to reply to comments in addition to tweeting his reaction.

Interesting twist on the plans to "see him again," wouldn't you say?

Whether it's fact-checking or bashing the Hall of Famer's supposed need for attention, Price did not hold back. If there truly was a meeting set up for an apology, it likely won't be rescheduled any time in the near future.

The original incident came about after Eckersley said "Yuck" on-air in response to Red Sox pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez's rehab stat line. Price took exception, mocking Eckersley and sarcastically claiming he was "the greatest pitcher who ever lived" and that the game must've come easy to him.

It sure seems like the topic is still a sensitive spot if neither man can put it behind them. But for the rest of us, we can grab our popcorn and watch the fireworks.
