Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has been the face of criticism for the past 24 hours due to his decision making in Game 5 of the NLDS. As a result of those blunders, the Dodgers season is over. With many calling for Roberts' job, pump the brakes.

According to Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times, Roberts will return as Dodgers manager for the 2020 season.

Roberts was signed to a four-year contract extension last year, so the Dodgers obviously didn't want to give up on their investment with three years remaining.

The Dodgers are coming off a 106-win regular season and entered the postseason as World Series favorites. After taking a 2-1 series lead, Los Angeles dropped Game 4 to the Washington Nationals, forcing a winner-take-all Game 5.

Despite having a 3-1 lead on Wednesday night, Roberts called upon Clayton Kershaw, who's had a history of postseason struggles. Kershaw proceeded to surrender back-to-back solo home runs to Anthony Rendon and Juan Soto on consecutive pitches to tie the game at 3-3.

Entering the tenth inning, reliever Joe Kelly struggled, as he loaded the bases with no outs. Roberts left Kelly in the game, only to watch him surrender a grand slam to Howie Kendrick.

While Los Angeles Dodgers fans are livid at Dave Roberts for his decision-making in Game 5, he will return next season, whether they like it or not.
