Rivalries are one of the greatest parts of college football. And many of the greatest rivalries are in-state, which typically provide the most captivating matchups.
Most of these in-state rivalries aren't lucky enough to have more than one powerhouse to compete in the rivalry games. But the state of Florida is pretty lucky with both the University of Florida and the University of Miami (among others), each of which have prolific histories when it comes to football. So why don't we see more of these matchups?

This used to be an annual matchup, but the two teams now only played intermittently, with their last meeting coming in 2013. Mullen thinks it's time that this historic rivalry gets a reboot.

This spark may come from the recent update that Florida has been restored as the top football school in the state.
Either way, the continuance of this rivalry will be good for everyone involed. Rivalries drive college football, so it's only right that one of the best football states continues one of its best rivalries.
