Dan Mullen's Offense Failed in a Big Spot and It's Time to Ask Questions
By Jerry Trotta

Raise your hand if you thought that No. 6 Florida would come out and lay an egg on Saturday vs. No. 8 Georgia in their annual rivalry game in Jacksonville?
The Bulldogs just finished off an impressive display on the road by defeating the Gators 24-17, and that scoreline doesn't begin to do justice to the apparent gap in play between both teams as Florida scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to make things marginally interesting.
The most telling narrative that fans should take away from this Top-10 showdown is just how stagnant Dan Mullen's offense looked with almost two weeks to prepare for Kirby Smart's defense.

Florida could only muster 278 total yards of offense, and the majority of that came in the fourth quarter when it was already clear that Georgia would walk away with a dub.
We understand that the Bulldogs boast one of the nation's top defenses, but we are talking about a Gators offense that hadn't scored less than 24 points in any of their previous eight games in 2019!

Mullen should simply be expected to get the most out of his side regardless of the opponent lining up on the other side of the field, and especially in front of countless Gainesville devotees.
The Gators offense failed to show up in their biggest game of the year, and the hype surrounding them and Mullen leading up to Saturday's humbling defeat should seriously simmer down.
