When it comes to injuries, Dalvin Cook has not been dealt the kindest hand during the three years he has spent in the NFL.

Though a supremely talented runner, Cook's first two seasons in the league were marred by countless injuries. Fortunately, the third-year back has remained relatively healthy this season, compiling over 1,000 yards rushing for the first time in his career. That was until his latest injury to his shoulder popped up a couple weeks ago. While Cook's outlook to play in Monday's contest with the Packers has been bleak for most of the week, the 24-year-old RB appears optimistic regarding his availability for the game.

The Vikings RB infamously dealt with an ACL tear, just four games into what appeared to be a legendary rookie campaign during the 2017 season. Last season, Cook was far from himself, as he dealt with lingering hamstring issues for most of the campaign. With a taste of true success this season, Cook appears to be making a concerted effort to play through his latest ailment.

With the winner of Monday's game likely taking the NFC North crown, Cook's availability to play in the contest could significantly sway the Vikings chances of victory.

Regardless of whether Cook is able to suit up for this divisional matchup, his grit and determination to play must be appreciated.
