Mike McCarthy Still Hasn't Called Dak Prescott and He Should Probably Do That Right Now

Mike McCarthy was one of the earliest hires in this year's head coaching carousel, but according to the latest reporting, the former Green Bay Packers boss still hasn't even formally introduced himself to quarterback Dak Prescott.

That sounds kind of important. He should consider doing it.

As McCarthy wraps up his first official week as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, Bleacher Report's Mike Tanier confirmed that McCarthy hadn't talked to Prescott as of Friday night.

One of the main reasons McCarthy got canned in Green Bay was the fact that he managed to alienate Aaron Rodgers, with the duo subsequently losing mutual respect for one another. So far, the allegedly new and improved McCarthy hasn't proven that he won't end up headeding down the same path he walked in Green Bay.

To be fair to McCarthy, he did call Prescott "a great one" in his first press conference as a Cowboy, and he claimed that the offense will be centered around making Dak successful.

McCarthy's hire was pretty well received in Big D, but almost going out of his way to avoid talking to Dallas' franchise quarterback isn't the best way to go about your first few days on the job. Just saying.
