Jerry Jones has had quite the offseason. He's gotten a new coach in Mike McCarthy, he's restructured deals with some of his top players, and now, it's really starting to look like the 2020 draft was the best he's ever had since becoming the owner and de facto general manager of the Dallas Cowboys. Not only were his picks spot-on for what the team needs, his undrafted free agent signings were fantastic.

And a board of experts have reached a consensus that the Cowboys' signings after the draft were far and away the best in the NFL, too.

Jones just didn't miss with any of his UDFA signings. He's managed to get some of the best players to escape the draft's seven rounds, and that's to say nothing of the incredible draft he had.

He got arguably the best wide receiver in the draft, CeeDee Lamb, which instantly makes the Cowboys' receiving corps one of the finest in the league. It's a godsend for young quarterback Dak Prescott, who, being franchise-tagged, can now work with the weapons he needs to prove he deserves a big contract. Their second-round selection of cornerback Trevon Diggs was an absolute steal that immediately fills a Byron Jones-sized hole in the defense.

Every pick thereafter has been almost universally lauded by NFL analysts, too.

Jones has been performing at another level this season. Almost every move seems to be working in his and the Cowboys' favor. His 2020 draft was among the most successful in recent NFL memory, and it's certainly the best he's ever had.
