Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is entering the final year of his rookie contract, and whether you think he deserves a deal that'll give him $30 million a year or not, it's apparent that Dallas wants to keep him around.

But when will this get done?

It's taking longer than expected to nail this down but Prescott isn't worried, saying, "I think the people that are doing the deal feel the same way so to me it's no rush. I know it will get done."

"I want to be a Cowboy forever," Prescott added.

Forever? I mean, who could blame him? Whether you hate them or not, this is the Dallas Cowboys and he's the quarterback of one of the most prestigious franchises in sports.

I'd want to stick around, especially if I was getting paid like Prescott is seemingly going to be.

"It's all generational money and life-changing money. It's a blessing just to be in this position. But as far as the numbers are concerned, my focus is within the locker room. I know it'll get taken care of, so it is what it is," Prescott said.

Prescott is not sweating the details or the negotiation process as a whole. That probably wouldn't be the case under normal circumstances, but it appears that owner Jerry Jones has his back and will back up the brinks truck to keep him in Dallas.

Just sit back and wait for the money to wash over you, Dak.
