Dabo Swinney Still Playing Disrespect Card When Clemson is Favored vs Ohio State is Laughable

Much like the New England Patriots last year, the No. 3 Clemson Tigers have used the notion that they are being "disrespected" or viewed as an underdog to motivate the team during their postseason push.

Dabo Swinney is continuing to use that as his main rallying cry ahead of their Fiesta Bowl showdown with No. 2 Ohio State. There's just one little problem. Clemson is a two-point FAVORITE in this game.

The Tigers dropped from No. 1 overall at the start of the year to No. 5 in the initial playoff rankings and then back up to No. 3 after some a close loss in a weak ACC, and Swinney has used that "disrespect" to motivate his Tigers.

After being ranked fifth ahead of the meat of their conference schedule, Trevor Lawrence has been absolutely sensational and the team hasn't broken a sweat.

With only Alabama, Ohio State and LSU averaging more points-per-game, a Clemson team stuffed to the brim with 5-stars at nearly every position is certainly getting all the credit they deserve ahead of their matchup against Justin Fields and the Buckeyes.

Yeah, the ACC might not be the best conference, but who is really doubting Clemson by this point?
