First pitch is scheduled for 9:45 PM ET from Oracle Park and will be televised on NBCSBA and WGN. The game can also be viewed on the MLB Streams subreddit.

The scorching hot Giants have been on a tear as of late, winning 15 of their last 18 to get back to .500 after starting the season as one of MLB's worst teams. The first-place Cubs hold a slim 2-game division lead over the Milwaukee Brewers.

Cubs Lineup

Javier Baez, Kris Bryant, and Anthony Rizzo have been in the image of consistency in the heart of the Cubs order this season. They're each batting just above .290, and each of them has between 20 and 24 home runs. They represent the heart of the order for Chicago tonight.

27-year-old right-hander Alec Mills (0-0, 4.50 ERA) will make his second start of the season for Chicago after a decent first appearance against the Reds last week. The former Kansas City Royal allowed 5 hits on 3 runs with 6 strikeouts in 6 innings of work.

Giants Lineup

Brandon Belt is back in the leadoff spot for San Francisco, followed by Mike Yastrzemski and Pablo Sandoval. Stephen Vogt hits cleanup and Brandon Crawford is in the five-hole.

The Giants offense is what's propelled the team to their recent hot streak. The team is batting .280 in the month of July along with 30 home runs, already the most they've hit in any month this season.

Rookie Shaun Anderson (3-2, 4.87 ERA) takes the bump for the Giants, looking to bounce back after a few rough outings to start July. In three starts this month, the right-hander has pitched to an ugly 9.23 ERA.

This game doesn't exactly feature a premium pitching matchup, but it does pit two playoff contenders looking to sustain their recent success the stretch.
