Cubs Place Willson Contreras on Injured List Again
By Thomas Carannante

The Chicago Cubs are right back in the thick of things after their disappointing road trip. They're going for the series sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday at Wrigley Field, but they'll once again have to do it without one of their best hitters.
Star catcher Willson Contreras is returning to the injured list with a hamstring issue.

Contreras left Saturday's game against the Brew Crew after coming up lame running down the first-base line after recording a hit. It was clear he was injured on the spot, so placing him on the IL was the right call given he's set to undergo an MRI on Monday.
Also, after the Cubs traded Martin Maldonado at the deadline, they can't take a chance on having Contreras miss extended time, especially since he just came off the IL after dealing with a foot injury.

Victor Caratini will fill in as the team's catcher while Contreras is on the shelf.
