Aaron Rodgers couldn't lead the Packers to the postseason in 2018 as the banged up quarterback played much of the season with a handful of injuries.

Green Bay is looking to bounce back in 2019, and if fans were looking for some encouragement about their star quarterback, stats show just how effective he was in 2018, even while playing injured. Rodgers was one of the best rushers in the NFL last year, despite not being known for his running ability.

In fact, while NFC North rival Mitch Trubisky dominates most of the rushing-quarterback headlines, it was Rodgers who was superior when the two were compared head-to-head.

Rodgers had an impressive 6.3 yards per carry last year, while gaining positive yardage on 67% of his rush attempts. Trubisky averaged 6.2 yards per carry, and had an inferior success rate.

While Trubisky is by no means a bad rusher, and is probably a better runner overall than Rodgers, this just goes to show how the Packers star can truly be considered a dual-threat quarterback. He may not resort to scrambling all too often, but when he does, he's as effective as anyone in the league.

The Packers look locked and loaded ahead of the 2019 season and Rodgers is poised to have one of his best seasons yet, should he stay healthy. The team will look to return to the postseason after a two-year absence.
