Cowboys WR Michael Gallup Will Reportedly Undergo Knee Surgery and Miss Up to a Month
By Karl Rasmussen

Michael Gallup was turning heads across Cowboys Nation with his impressive Week 1 performance against the Giants. Well, he impressed in Week 2, but that may be all Cowboys fans see of him for a little while, as he picked up an injury in the contest.
According to Ian Rapoport, an MRI revealed the 23-year-old receiver suffered a meniscus tear. Gallup will require arthroscopic surgery, which will sideline him for roughly 2-4 weeks.
Sources: #Cowboys promising WR Michael Gallup is having arthroscopic surgery to trim his meniscus, knocking him out 2-4 weeks. No structural damage besides the meniscus tear, so the return should be quick.

This is actually pretty good news, considering Gallup avoided any structural damage to the knee. Had he suffered further damage, the timetable for his return would be far more bleak.
After his 2019 debut saw him grab seven receptions for 158 yards, he followed it up with a six-catch outing, good for 68 yards. While he's yet to find the end zone in 2019 -- and will now have to wait even longer to do so -- it's clear he's made significant strides since his underwhelming rookie season.
Adding to the injury list this evening is WR Michael Gallup needs a MRI on his knee a source says.

With the former third-round pick sidelined for up to a month, expect Randall Cobb to see a heavier influx of targets, with guys like Devin Smith and Cedrick Wilson also standing to see increased opportunity.
