The Dallas Cowboys have had a busy offseason, inking key members of their core to contract extensions. Despite all the work they've done in that department, there are still a few deals left to get done, most notably for Dak Prescott, Amari Cooper and Byron Jones.

One of those deals looks like it could be done by the end of the weekend.

Stephen Jones claims to have been in continued contact with Prescott's agent and is holding out hope to getting a deal done by Sunday.

Dallas' season kicks off at home against the New York Giants at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday, so the Cowboys will be hoping that Prescott's deal can be wrapped up before then.

The Cowboys just recently locked up Ezekiel Elliott on a six-year extension worth $90 million in new money. That deal came on the heels of La'el Collins' five-year extension.

Prescott is expected to earn a massive payday, forecasted to receive an annual salary exceeding the $30 million mark. He's currently entering the final year of his rookie contract and is only slated to make $2.025 million in base salary for 2019.

In his three years under center for the Cowboys, Prescott has led the team to a 32-16 record, making the playoffs twice. He's thrown 67 touchdowns to 25 interceptions, while scoring 18 rushing touchdowns.
