The Dallas Cowboys are on the record saying they're satisfied at the safety position, but they reportedly aren't ruling out Eric Berry.

The Cowboys are reportedly keeping an eye on the former five-time Pro-Bowl selection, who has spent his entire eight-year career on the Kansas City Chiefs before injury issues led to Berry playing only four games since 2017.

Berry was released by the Chiefs this past March, and has been on the market ever since.

Dallas currently has Xavier Woods and Jeff Heath at safety, both of whom are younger than the 30-year-old Berry. Woods and Heath also set career-highs in solo tackle totals this past season -- 39 and 63, respectively -- which inspires confidence for the Cowboys, but their options remain open with Berry available.

Berry even visited the Cowboys following his release from Kansas City, but a deal wasn't agreed upon. If Berry can get onto a roster and reach pre-Achilles injury form, he could win the NFL Comeback Player of the Year, an honor he received in 2015.
