Cowboys Provide Injury Update on RB Mike Weber

The Cowboys seventh-round pick Mike Weber injured his knee at practice last Saturday, leading to some concern about whether the ailment would keep him out long term.
Fortunately for the Cowboys, the injury does not appear to be serious, as per the latest update by the Cowboys.

The former Ohio State running back was looking to get snaps behind Pro Bowl back Ezekiel Elliott and fellow 2019 draft pick Tony Pollard during this season.
As of now, it looks as though rest will be the best medicine for Weber, and the possibility of him returning to full health and being able to get the necessary reps at training camp still remains.

The Cowboys already know who their lead back will be during the 2019 season, but after losing Rod Smith to the Giants, there is an opening for which a young running back can slot into the backup role. With Weber's knee being injured, it certainly opens the door for Pollard to take that role.
