Is this the reunion that Dallas Cowboys fans were hoping for? Ezekiel Elliott left town last offseason to suit up for the New England Patriots. As it turns out, Elliott's time away from the team didn't last too long for him.

That's because on Monday morning, the Cowboys and Elliott officially agreed to terms on a new deal. That's right, Elliott, Dak Prescott's close friend, will be back in Arlington for the 2024 campaign. This isn't the splash RB move people wanted, but for now, it will have to do.

Elliott posted some incredible seasons with the Cowboys, but he's way past his prime. There's familiarity with the offense, so this move does make some sense, but it doesn't give fans belief that the Cowboys are all-in on winning a Super Bowl anytime soon.
