The Dallas Cowboys are called America's Team for a reason.

According to recent Forbes article by Kurt Badenhausen, the Cowboys continue to be the world's most valuable sports franchise.

Dallas also had nine regular season games in the Top 50 highest-rated sports games, and generated roughly $340 million in sponsorship and premium seating revenue (which is twice as much as any other team).

The NFL boasts 29 of the 50 most valuable sports franchises, and the fact that the Cowboys top them all, is telling of the franchise's rich history and fanbase.

Dallas is tied with the San Francisco 49ers for the second-most Super Bowl wins in league history with five, but have struggled to reach the pinnacle recently. The last time the Cowboys won a Super Bowl was 1995.

Last year, the Cowboys had a 10-6 record, won the NFC East division, but ultimately lost to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional round. In what will be the franchise's 60th season, Dallas will hope to find their way back to the NFC Championship for the first time in 25 years.
