Cowboys LB Sean Lee's Agent Says Veteran Plans to Play in 2020
By Thomas Carannante

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee is set to hit free agency after a promising contract year in his age-33 season.
Many questions surrounded Lee's status regarding whether he'll return to the Cowboys on a team-friendly deal, sign elsewhere and capitalize on his value, or call it quits after 10 NFL seasons. Well, we can now rule that latter scenario out.
#Cowboys LB Sean Lee, at 33 years old, is playing in 2020, his agent @MikeMcCartney7 says. Considering how strong Lee finished last season — double digit tackles in two of his last five games — this makes sense. He’ll test free agency, but also could return to Dallas.

Lee is planning to play next campaign and he'll be 34 before the season starts. NFL insider Ian Rapoport noted the veteran linebacker could return to the Cowboys, but the team is enduring some salary cap troubles as the front office looks to sign Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper to long-term deals.
It's especially troubling for Dallas because Lee played in every game for the first time in his career, avoided injury issues (which have plagued him pretty much since being drafted), and logged his best campaign since his All-Pro 2016 season.
Sean Lee has made a decision on his status in 2020: “I’m playing,” he told https://t.co/qPoipks2hM. While a return to the Cowboys for an 11th season is not out of the question, he is set to be a free agent in March. Lee played in every game last season and made 109 tackles.

A 34-year-old might be looking to take advantage of his value as much as possible considering Lee is definitely nearing the end of his playing days, so that could complicate a reunion with the Cowboys.
Then again, he could look to run it back in an attempt to help his team win a Super Bowl assuming the front office can settle the score with other top impending free agents.
