Jerry Jones Won't Address Whether Head Coach Jason Garrett Will Be Given Contract Extension
By Thomas Carannante

There's been enough contract controversy in Big D this year, so Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is just going to let everything unfold this time, instead of giving the media something to run with.
From Ezekiel Elliott's holdout and record-breaking extension to the need to get Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper under contract, you can understand why head coach Jason Garrett is the least of Jones' worries at this point. And if you ask him about his lame-duck status, he'll swiftly reply by quashing your thought bubble.
Jerry Jones on @1053thefan was asked about possibility of extending Jason Garrett’s contract before end of season: “I’m not ignoring your question, but I certainly wouldn’t want to respond in any way b/c that’s just not what we’d want to do relative to that area of our business.”

Garrett's status entering the final year of his deal has been a topic of discussion for quite a while now, and Jones has been tight-lipped on the matter, so why in the world would he elaborate further once the season has already started?
But perhaps letting all this play out is part of Jerry's master plan. The Cowboys are 3-0 and will face a Drew Brees-less Saints team next. Could Garrett extend his best start as the team's head coach in the process?
Final: Cowboys 31, Dolphins 6.

For the first time in the Jason Garrett era, the Cowboys are 3-0
If he does, Jerry will certainly feel more heat with regard to making this happen, but something tells us performance isn't going to matter until the postseason arrives.
