Cowboys Insider Says Randall Cobb is Looking Like a Formidable Replacement for Cole Beasley
By James.r

Ah, June. The time of the football calendar when hope springs eternal and every player looks like a Hall of Famer in padless practices with no contact.
Some players' offseason successes do translate onto the field come September more than others, of course, and according to Dallas Cowboys insider Todd Archer of ESPN, Randall Cobb could be a member of this group who lives up to the full extent of his offseason hype.

Apparently, the former Packer's impressive work with Dallas since signing with the team in March is inspiring confidence that he can be a worthy heir apparent to Cole Beasley in the slot-- and then some.
Just a few short years ago, it would seem like a no-brainer that Cobb could fill the shoes of a guy like Beasley, but Cobb's injury troubles in recent seasons have led to doubt regarding his long-term viability in the NFL.
Beasley was an often underrated and productive receiver during his Cowboys career, and he parlayed that production into a 4-year, $29 million deal with the Buffalo Bills this offseason.

If Cobb is able to return to the player he was in 2014 and 2015, when he accumulated over 2,100 receiving yards on 170 catches over two seasons, he will be a fantastic addition to an exciting Cowboys roster.
If he struggles or gets injured, however, Dallas will have a gaping hole to fill in the slot with no easy answers at hand.
